Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Marcia Merrill. I work as a Mid Life Transition Coach, which I love. In a recent call, a fellow Global Mastermind member,Ed Castner, spoke on the aspects of a Business Plan. I have a Vision Board and Mindmap and my goals written down and expressed in my newsletter. (spoiler alert!)
Why tell my subscribers? There’s a form on the right so you, too, can get this earth-shattering news. No,you get articles, resources I recommend, not just web sites, but, professionals I use for my graphic designs, my Virtual Assistant, who created this Word Press page, sends out the newsletter that I write and other technological responsibilities and more!
But, as I was doing a SWOT analysis-the 3rd thing in your Business Plan-first 2 are
- Executive Summary-do that last as everything else makes this a rockin’ Exec.Summary
- Company Profile and
- SWOT Analysis (there’s more, stay tuned!)
Now this is where you look at your Strengths your Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats-like the economy or that someone is selling what you sell for cheaper!
Now, I started here first. I figured I knew my strengths, right? They’re MY strengths. This led me to the question of why do people need a coach? That’s, they want the structure, the accountability and to move-getting out of their own way. They don’t want to stressed out and feeling. Your coach is there to ask the tough questions. To serve as a guide, not just a friend…Often, coaches, like myself, have specialized certifications or degtuned Last month, I went to New Peaks’ Mission Possible Business Creator. Now, I have three more certifications, Coaching ,Mentoring, and Masterminding. I’m offering a Mastermind starting Jan. 5th 8pm EST and We’d. Jan.13th. More later, stay tuned
This piece is about me but, I hate sales-y letters, books, emails-even some Facebook posts. Sometimes, you just wanna take a shower to get it off ya! Right?
So, I start thinking…”How do my clients and friends describe me ?” What do I think are my strengths?? (I’m modeling this for you, ok?) I’m creative, enthusiastic and high energy…Naturally, some of my clients, often midlife women who want to escape the 9-5 grind and be their “own boss!” possess these qualities, as well.
I do coach men as well, but more women. I think that is the way it is. It might be, because I’m a midlife woman, a solo-entrepreneur, they can relate to me. Many are juggling everyone else’s needs and never their own.
Women Entrepreneurs often suffer that same feeling!!. As one client calls me the “Overwhelm-Buster! I really promote them getting “unstuck” and moving forward! So, what are some of your Strengths? You thought I’d forget and wax on about me? nah. And, if I do,it’s cause I get so excited I want to shout from the rooftops about something I’ve done, or read or seen. I love learning new things, like different career fields! Can I share with you? Is that ok? l’ve just gotta tell you about my new eBook, “Turning Midlife into the RIGHT Life!-Featuring my easy to understand 3 Step Transition Cycle TM launching October 30th! (more, later…) Back to the SWOT!
I thought I should really focus on the total well being of my clients. That’s my philosophy. The overall Physical, Business/Career/Job/and Spiritual life of the clients is vitally important, because we don’t exist in a vacuum. Over all, many people use coaching! They use coaching, the accountability aspect, to change their lives and move forward in a less stressful, supported way. Clients have been coached when they want to slim down, quit smoking , be a happier, fulfilled human being and more successful and many other lifestyle issues.
