Do you ever feel like you’re in the zone? Things are really cookin’ and you just can’t do anything wrong…life is just fantastic!
They say God laughs, when you make plans! Yep. But, that’s OK. Last Monday, a week ago, I fell in the shower in a hotel in Florida. Ct scan in ER and discovered I have a transverse process fracture.
Boom! Whaddaya know? The road isn’t always going to be smooth…Yup, I experienced a bump in my road.
I had a choice… let it stop me or go around this obstacle and move on. There is a great healthcare service, Bright Star. Marita promptly showed up on time with a can do attitude. She packed rest of my stuff. We were a parade! I, with my walker, and holding my cane with her carrying my purse, her purse, an umretta and towing my suitcase with four wheels…Whew!
Got to airport, and gingerly stepped on the plane…flew back without incident…except being on painkillers. Boy, did I sleep! I never sleep on planes! So, it was a good thing.
It’s all about attitude. I am always grateful. But, when something happens that is a bad thing, I especially, focus on gratitude. Focussing on just the bad can make you so upset, you don’t move forward…only backwards!
Now. I don’t wear rose-colored glasses…I try to find a lesson or something positive about an experience. But, I really do feel like I’m taking two steps forward and one backwards. But, I know I’m not stopped in my tracks, I now have time to rest, listen to classes, read a novel, catch up on social media and , of course, blogging.
What do you or someone you know, do when faced with an obstacle?
