My head is really full as I learned so much last week at the Global Mastermind Retreat in Las Vegas-no gambling. In fact, our Trump hotel is the only hotel WITHOUT a casino. As I’m not a gambler, this was just fine.
A few days ago, I got back from a life-changing week of coming together, sharing ideas-kind of like a personal Board of Directors for each person. This accelerated your learning as each group helped every member, mostly with their business. We were entrepreneurs at various stages in business-from having an idea of a business to those having made tons of money and anywhere in between. The Global Mastermind Program Retreats are designed to make us think & connect with about thirty other like-minded individuals.
We left 5 days later, a family! Peak Potentials, who offer Millionaire Mind Experience, and many other excellent courses is second in the Personal Development arena . Attending the MME is where my association began. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. I signed up for Quantum Leap to immerse myself in many other courses-all are top-notch!
Adam Markel,CEO led much of our mastermind retreat. The enigmatic, Michael Silvers, Director of Coaching, as well as Adam shepherded us as we soaked in this mastermind environment. These special leaders are also our friends. We joked and laughed together as it’s important to play and make space for laughter, too. Pausing and reflecting was encouraged as our week unfolded. A special mentor, Bill Courtright(Billy),along with his brother, Ken, founded a multimillion dollar company,Business Income Store. They are both are excellent speakers and proponents of the great work done through Peaks and the Mastermind Program.
Billy volunteered to be there and held an impromptu mini-mastermind after our week was over. So we got more value for our commitment than I’d hoped. He gave practical tips for our businesses so, along with our amazing retreat with many experts & coaches dedicated to our success, he just added to the experience!
It’s hard to describe this experience without sounding hokey. No one, save those who experienced this can truly understand how this could have such a profound impact. We shared in a day of service to Opportunity Village where two thousand people with disabilities are paid for piecemeal work of bagging dice for the casinos to coiling wires for an Electronics firm’s contract. They are 80% self-funded and instill a sense of pride, worth and accomplishment in a warm, caring environment. We visited with the participants and Brian,Rosa,Joanna and many others with Cerebral Palsy to Down’s Syndrome to the developmentally delayed, touched our hearts and instilled an appreciation of what we often take for granted-our health, intellect, capacity for learning…
We often shared what we felt and experienced and debriefed and reviewed to deepen the learning. And learn we did from mind-mapping (Christiana Carter) to the effectiveness of video testimonials to how to monetize various online elements of your business. ( Billy Courtright)
Each day, we talked of being a better person and having goals, appreciating where you are as well as growing both personally and professionally. Changing your mindset changes the results you’re getting. Each day after reflection the night before… Wee started our days, exuberantly shouting, “I Love My Life!” After all, isn’t that what life is about?
